| This past Friday night, the China Beauty Charity Fund ("CBCF") celebrated its inaugural China Fashion Night Gala at the Pierre Hotel. Hosted by CBCF Founder and Chairwoman, Yue-Sai Kan, with actor Archie Kao and Miss Universe Olivia Culpo as Master and Mistress of Ceremonies, the gala benefitted the CBCF Scholarship at the Fashion Institute of Technology ("FIT"). The highlight of the gala was the fashion presentation and runway show by China's preeminent haute couture designer, Guo Pei, whose exquisite creations were showcased for the very first time in the US. Guo presented acclaimed pieces from her "Legend of the Dragon" collection, including a gown inspired by stained glass domes of European churches and a gown adorned with several thousand "Gong Hua," silk flowers made exclusively for the royal palace and were rescued from the storage room of a deserted factory and carefully restored with steam – which took nearly 50,000 hours. |

| As a celebration of artistry in all forms, the Gala featured a special performance by renowned Chinese American Metropolitan Opera singer Hao Jiang Tian and his I Sing Beijing Ensemble along with a live auction that included a work of artist Cai Guo-Qiang and Sennheiser to an audience that included: Trudie Styler, Bebe Neuwirth, Victor Alfaro, Lisa Airan, Geoffrey Bradfield, Cheryl Casone, Veronica Chou, Melvin Chua, Evie Evangelou, Cecelia Dean, Mira Duma, Anh Duong, Hofit Golan, General Consul Sun Guoxiang, Stacy Engman, Susan Gutfreund, Du Juan, James Kaliardos, Karolina Kurkova, Anne McNally, Julie Macklowe, Carlos Mota, Petra Nemcova, Carmen dell'Orefice, HRH The Princess of Udaipur Padmaja Kumari Parmar, Guo Pei, Jean Shafiroff, Susan Shin, Tadashi Shoji, Franca Sozzani, Dr. Valerie Steele, Amy Tan, Hao Jiang Tian, Vivienne Tam, Ling Tan, Zang Toi, Kaity Tong, Liu Wen, Dr. Ruth Westheimer, Ambassadors from China, Hungary, Panama, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Sri Lanka and Tunisia, and other notable guests from the realms of fashion, art, design, film, music, business and politics. |

| CBCF's mission is to improve the lives of women and children through sustainable economic growth; it aims to foster international understanding through cultural and academic exchanges by providing grants to empower Chinese women to achieve equality, autonomy and to fulfill their potential. Accordingly, the Gala will benefit CBCF's Scholarship Fund at the Fashion Institute of Technology ("FIT") to afford talented creatives from China the opportunity to study at FIT in NYC. The scholarship is further supported by Fashion 4 Development's ("F4D") internship program which will place graduates with global brands and give them access to angel investments to start their own businesses. |

| Professional equestrians and Hamptons residents and visitors came out to show their support for the equine profession and give back to those who make shows like the Hampton Classic Horse Show possible. The Equestrian Aid Foundation Hamptons Clambake took place on Thursday at Scott Cameron Beach in Bridgehampton and raised money to support EAF's mission to financially support those in the equestrian profession who are suffering from injury and chronic illness. Notable guests included EAF Board Member and Professional Equestrian Georgina Bloomberg, Professional Show Jumper Brianne Goutal, EAF Board Member and Event Chair Stephanie Riggio Bulger (daughter of Leonard Riggio, Founder and Chairman of Barnes and Noble), Professional Equestrian Scott Stewart, and more. |

| Ted and Dina Merrill Hartley along with distinguished Event Committee Members Lizzi Bickford, Charles Bullock, Cornelia Bregman, John U. Moorhead, Stanley Rumbough, and Jean Shafiroff hosted a perfect summer soiree on August 31, 2013 in East Hampton, NY. The intimate benefit dinner was held at the private estate of Mr. & Mrs. Hartley, the intimate evening included dinner, fireworks, and live musical performances by Tony Award nominee Christine Andreas and cabaret singer Cole Rumbough. With over 50 guests in attendance, which included such luminaries as— Martha Stewart, Ambassador Bonnie McElveen Hunter, Sharon Bush, Boo Grace, Flo Anthony, Rose Hartman, R.Couri Hay, Julianne Michelle and Randi Schatz, to name a few. The evening also marked the 30th anniversary of board service by Mr. Stanley H. Rumbough, son of Mrs. Dina Merrill Hartley. Mr. Rumbough, a proud descendant of the Colgate and Rumbough families, has continued the legacy of service to New York City Mission Society because of his dedication to the organization’s mission. |

| “We are truly blessed. The generosity of our committee members and guests is absolutely amazing.” said Maria Orengó, New York City Mission Society’s Interim Executive Director. “This support allows us to continue to do the necessary work to help break the cycle of poverty for New York City’s children, youth and families.” Committee Member Jean Shafiroff, added that she had the opportunity to visit the Harlem based Minisink Townhouse program site last year and was “inspired by the incredible work of the staff and program participants.” She encouraged all of the guests to continue to support the organization. |

| The evening was a great success raising over $40 thousand dollars for New York City Mission Society. | City Parks Foundation's annual CityParks Tennis Benefit, co-chaired by Billie Jean King and John McEnroe, was held on Tuesday, August 27 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The event, which welcomed 250 guests, raised over $200,000 for CityParks Tennis, a free youth instructional program that serves over 7,000 children in parks throughout New York City each season. |

| Held each year at the US Open Tennis Championships, the event, hosted by Budd Mishkin, features a cocktail party, dinner, silent and lives auction, and tickets to the Open session matches in Arthur Ashe Stadium. This year, City Parks Foundation honored Eric Fromm, a native New Yorker and the former #38 tennis player in the world with the 2013 Vitas Gerulaitis Community Service Award. Fromm currently serves as the Managing Director for SPORTIME, which runs 144 state-of-the-art indoor and outdoor tennis courts. The event also honored CityParks Tennis youth player, 14-year-old Daniel Corona, with the Billie Jean King Junior Award. Daniel, of Fresh Meadows, began playing tennis with the program at Cunningham Park, before he earned a spot in the Chase Aces year-round intermediate level program and this past summer landed himself in the City Parks Foundation Junior Academy presented by LACOSTE, an annual tournament-training program for experienced players held at the Billie Jean King Tennis Center. |

| CityParks Tennis, one of the largest municipal tennis programs in the country, provides free tennis lessons and activities at 40 parks citywide to children ages 6-16. CityParks Tennis also features an advanced training academy, which offers talented youth with financial need the opportunity to bring their game to a higher level of competition. Hundreds of academy graduates have earned college athletic scholarships and sectional and national rankings. Two graduates of the academy have played in the junior division at the US Open. City Parks Foundation (CPF) is the only independent, nonprofit organization to offer park programs throughout the five boroughs of New York City. They work in over 750 parks citywide, presenting a broad range of free arts, sports, and education programs, and empowering citizens to support their parks on a local level.
