Last Thursday night at the New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx, they were hosting their annual Conservatory Ball and honoring Gregory Long, who is celebrating his 25th year anniversary as the Director of the Botanical Garden. The evening is one of the most beautiful and famous secrets of the New York social set. Its supporters are deeply committed to the Botanical Garden. For many it is the last big Ball of the Spring social season. Like the Enid Haupt Conservatory that dominates the Garden’s architecture, beautifully produced in the old fashioned sense. The idea is to celebrate the efforts to support the Garden by having a lovely dinner dance with good food, good music and the ladies dressed for the occasion: elegantly. |
