| The Young New Yorkers for the Philharmonic Summer Party, held on Tuesday, June 25, 2013, was attended by over 200 guests. Guests of the annual benefit enjoyed a cocktail reception and a chamber performance by New York Philharmonic musicians, followed by a seated dinner and dancing. Event chairmen were Jason and Mary Dillow, Christopher George, Sarah Jane and Trevor Gibbons, Laura and Ben Harris, Sandra L. | The Museum of Arts and Design recently held its opening reception for the exhibition "Fashion Jewelry: The Collection of Barbara Berger." Featuring over 450 pieces of fashion jewelry by designers such as Miriam Haskell, Marcel Boucher, Balenciaga, Kenneth Jay Lane, and Gripoix, this exhibition is an eye-opening display of necklaces, bracelets, and earrings, many of them one-of-a-kind, drawn from the world-renowned collection of Barbara Berger. The daughter of an American diamond merchant, Barbara Berger began her collection of some 4,000 bijoux de couture when she purchased a pair of Chanel earrings at a French flea market as a teenager and went on to assemble one of the largest and finest collections of couture jewelry in the world. |

| Many of the works were expressly made to be worn with haute couture clothing by fashion designers that range from Chanel to Yves Saint Laurent, and Dior to Dolce and Gabbana. The Berger collection and this exhibition are virtual encyclopedias of this exciting and provocative era of fashion history. The exhibition also underscores the continuing popularity of couture jewelry today through stellar contemporary works. The exhibition was organized by David McFadden, William and Mildred Lasdon Chief Curator at the Museum of Arts and Design, in collaboration with jewelry historian Harrice Simons Miller, as guest curator. |

| On Saturday, June 22nd, East Hamptonands not-for-profit art garden, museum, and educational organization LongHouse Reserve hosted its much-anticipated annual horticultural event, PLANTERS: On + Off the Ground VI. Amidst the Reserveands blooming gardens, a team of recognized horticultural experts together with a lively Hamptons crowd reviewed a spectacular line up of garden masterpieces of all shapes and sizes and designed by illustrious artists, gardeners, and landscape professionals. At the late-afternoon event, guests mingled while casting votes for their favorite garden planter and acclaimed judges Tovah Martin, Paula Deitz, and Jack deLashmet each presented awards to the winning design and honorable mention of their choosing. Garden Committee Chair Elizabeth Lear concluded the event by presenting the Peopleands Choice Award to the favorite garden art container of the afternoon.

| On June 10, 2013, the Police Athletic League (PAL) held its 41st Annual Superstar Dinner at The Pierre. The event, which welcomed 300 guests and raised over $860,000 for PAL, honored Governor Andrew M. Cuomo with the Superstar Award. In addition, Robert M. Morgenthau, PAL Chairman, was recognized for 50 years of leadership and dedication to the children of the Police Athletic League. The event was chaired by John A. Catsimatidis and co-chaired by Keith T. Banks, Maurice R. Greenberg, Richard Silverman and Fred Wilpon. Greg Kelly was the emcee for the evening. Special guests included PAL Honorary President Raymond W. Kelly, PAL Vice Chairman Robert J. McGuire, PAL President John B. Osborn, PAL Board member and District Attorney Cyrus R. Vance, Jr., President and CEO of Bank of America Brian Thomas Moynihan, and Lawrence Kudlow. |

| Since taking office, Governor Cuomo's achievements have included the recent passage of the NY SAFE ACT-comprehensive gun legislation that will keep our schools and communities safe from gun violence, a cap on property taxes, an overhaul of the state income tax and many other outstanding accomplishments.
