| The opening gala for the sixth annual Holiday House NY took place at the historic Academy Mansion at 2 East 63rd Street in Manhattan on Wednesday, November 20th. Holiday House NY is a decorator showhouse featuring holiday-inspired rooms created by some of today’s top interior designers. The event will once again benefit The Breast Cancer Research Foundation®, which was founded by Evelyn Lauder in 1993 and continues to be a leader in the fight against breast cancer. Notable guests included: Cindy Citrone, Michelle Ryan, Myra Biblowitz, Carlos Falchi, William Li, Randi Schatz, Christopher Hyland, Jaime Jimenez, Caterina Fabrizio, Maurice Dubois, Mario Buatta and Geoffrey Bradfield. |

| Art: Holiday House is a virtual “pop up” museum with a mix of art ranging from masterworks to the cutting edge contemporary art of some of today’s rising art world stars. Books: An author's night with design experts and authors, including Ellie Cullman, Thom Filicia, Mario Buatta, Gary McBournie and James Magni signing their new books will take place on December 4, 5:30 pm- 7:30 pm. Design:Beautiful interior design and holiday decor ideas are everywhere; from the facade of the Academy Mansion dressed for the season courtesy of Frontgate to various uniquely styled Christmas trees to creatively set tabletops and interior design vignettes. The showhouse also offers opportunities to deepen your knowledge of design with events such as a panel discussion on color hosted by Benjamin Moore and featuring top designers on December 11 at 10:00 am. |

| Food: In the courtyard cafe featuring designer Guillaume Gentet’s Palm Beach inspired design, Macaron Café will offer organic French press coffee, a variety of tea from Mariage Frères, and a light menu of salads, desserts, and their famed macarons. The café will be open to guests every day from 11:00 am- 5:00 pm. Music: Extended hours until 8:00 pm on Thursday evenings will include live music by Moscow 57 and wine tastings. | On Wednesday November 20, 2013, The Jewish Museum at Fifth Avenue and 92nd Street in New York City, presented its nineteenth annual Family Hanukkah Party. 300 people attended the festive event. The co-chairs were Jacqueline Harris Hochberg and Robert J. Hochberg, Sharon Coplan Hurowitz and Richard Hurowitz, Tara Mark Rosenblum and Kenneth Rosenblum, and Lyss Stern and Brian Stern. Attendees included: Barry and Mimi Alperin, Kim and Larry Heyman, Betty Levin, Tara and Hunter Lipton, Susan and Morris Mark, Margaret and Eric Porres, Bonnie and Ira Postel, Geoffrey and Candice Postel, Eleanor Heyman Propp, Mara and Ricky Sandler, Jill and Lyle Wilpon, Susan and Benjamin Winter, and Nanar and Tony Yoseloff. Asher Weintraub, the 9-year-old inventor of the Menurkey, a menorah in the shape of a turkey, was also at the event, singing his creation. |

| More than 250 of New York’s crème de la crème packed the Angel Orensanz Foundation for the Performing Arts on November 21st to raise a glass and toast The Indo-American Arts Council’s 15th anniversary and celebrate the non-profit organization’s numerous contributions of Indian performing, visual and literary arts to New York City’s diverse cultural landscape. The IAAC honoured three outstanding Indian-Americans, author Salman Rushdie, filmmaker Mira Nair and Dr. Manjula Bansal, for their commitment and contributions to the global artistic community. Headlining the entertainment at the event was Oscar-winning duo: singer/songwriter/composer Paul Williams (Oscar winner with Barbara Streisand for “Evergreen”) with pianist/composer Kenny Ascher, of “Rainbow Connection” (from The Muppet Movie) fame. Additionally, Exclusively.In presented a breath-taking runway show featuring the creativity of iconic Delhi-based designer Manish Arora through his “Indian” collection. The emcee for the evening was comedian Dan Nainan, and some of the celebrities who presented awards and walked the red carpet included: chef and author Madhur Jaffrey, actor Sarita Choudhury (Homeland), writer and filmmaker Sabrina Dhawan, actor Sakina Jaffrey (House of Cards), author, screenwriter, producer Tracey Jackson, Ambassador Manjeev Puri, actors Reshma Shetty (Royal Pains) and Manu Narayan, just to name a few. |

| IAAC is the first and only Indian Arts Council in the United States representing all of the artistic disciplines, including theatre, dance, music, film, folk arts, literature and fashion. The IAAC pioneered the first annual Indian theatre, film, dance and playwright festivals in the country, as well as an annual travelling exhibition of contemporary Indian art. | On Thursday, November 21, 2013, over 250 guests packed 404 NYC to support ArtWorks, The Naomi Cohain Foundation for the first ever live art event. Off the Wall 2013 brought fifteen artists to create live art, some were interactive but all came together over the course of the evening. This fundraiser helps fund creative and performing art programs for children and young adults with chronic and life-threatening illnesses. The venue was full of energy while supporters enjoyed getting their caricature done, listening to three new DJs, being silly at the photo booth, coloring in their own vinyl tile to bring together an original step and repeat, sipping one of three signature cocktails and nibbling on custom cupcakes. Vendor sponsors included Baked by Melissa, 44 North Vodka, Don Julio Tequila, Manhattan Beer Distributors, Savory and Sweet and Spiked Seltzer. |

| The music was spun by Zack Kerns, Chloe and Jason Grisell and the art was created by Christian Aldunate, John Ashford, Eric Joel Brief, Stephen Cohen, Josie Gonzalez, Rena Grosser, Babette Marciano, Laura Paris, Ariela Robinson, Dave Smith, Col Wallnuts and Sam Hillmer with caricature art by Jenny Kim and Ryan Blaise and greeted by Mama D. The event also showcased art by young artist who are participants in ArtWorks and part of the 30 local hospitals ArtWorks partners with. | Douglas Elliman hosted a special event at the Douglas Elliman Gallery at 980 Madison celebrating some of the "Fabulous Moments About Town" of our beloved city with an exclusive book signing and gallery show by internationally acclaimed author Elizabeth Frogel of her book, Charlie Girl: Tails of a Very Original Poodle. Susan Sondag curated the event, which included signature fresh juice aptly named the "Charlie Temples" from Organic Avenue and signature Charlie Girl cookies baked by New York's coveted Eleni's bakery. The author was there with "Charlie Girl," the real life standard poodle who inspired the series, signing books. All original drawings were on display. To benefit the ASPCA, there was a raffle for a framed original drawing and the author's ten-year old daughter raised a large amount of money by selling tickets with her friends. Matthew Ruffi was the lucky winner. |
