Carla Hall, co-host of ABC-TV's The Chew was the LIVE auctioneer at Pajama Programs'"One million Good Nights" benefit Tuesday evening, December 10th at the home of Dame Ann Van Ness of The Order of Saint John of Jerusalem Knights Hospitaller. Pajama Program founder Genevieve Piturro explained to the guests that the non-profit has announced a campaign to collect 1 million new pajamas, 1 million new books and the resources to deliver them to children in need by Dec 31, 2015. |
Carla Hall |
Pajama Program provides new pajamas and new books to children in need, many of whom are waiting and hoping to be adopted. These children live in various situations including group homes, shelters and temporary housing facilities and are shuffled often from one place to another. Many of them have been abandoned, abused or neglected. Most of these children have never enjoyed the simple comfort of having a mother or father tuck them in at bedtime with warm, clean pajamas and a bedtime story. |
