| The Children of Armenia Fund (COAF), a non-profit organization working to improve the living conditions for village children in Armenia, hosted its Tenth Annual Holiday Gala on Friday, December 13, 2013 at Cipriani 42nd Street. The event was a resounding success as more than 400 longtime friends and supporters gathered together for an unforgettable evening, and raised nearly $3 million to support COAF's community-led programs. Special guests in attendance included Michael Aram, Patricia Field, Kerry Butler, and Benjamin McKenzie. For the seventh year in a row, Emmy and Tony Award winning actress Andrea Martin entertained guests throughout the evening as the Master of Ceremonies. Of Armenian descent herself, Ms. Martin is a longtime advocate of COAF's work. She is best known for her work on Broadway and roles in the films Wag the Dog and My Big Fat Greek Wedding. She received her second Tony Award this year for her role in the critically-acclaimed show Pippin. |

| Award-winning film and television actor Victor Garber served as the Honorary Chair for the evening. Mr. Garber's introduction to COAF was at the 2011 Gala, where he was awarded with the COAF Humanitarian Award. Since then he has shown steadfast commitment to the organization. He is best known for his role in major motion pictures such as Titanic, Milk, and Argo. Guest speakers of the evening included bestselling author Chris Bohjalian and internationally-renowned photographer Scout Tufankjian. A true highlight of the evening was the children who traveled to New York from Armenia to showcase their extraordinary musical talents. Additionally, COAF welcomed back Anahit who spoke at COAF's 2012 Gala. This time she was accompanied by Nerses, another of student from Lernagog. Together, they expressed their deep appreciation for having COAF help their great aspirations become realities. |

| In addition to the performances by the talented children, Kerry Butler serenaded the crowd with a rendition of "It's a Small World/God Bless the Outcasts." So You Think You Can Dance finalist Paul Karmiriyan electrified the dance floor with his dance partner and closed out the formal dinner, and sparked the after-party which lasted past midnight. The event featured a high-tech silent auction using BidTech's iPads and a live auction conducted by Sotheby's celebrity auctioneer Aileen Agopian. The money raised from these auctions will jumpstart COAF's expansion into 100 new villages in the next 10 years. |

| Wally Findlay Galleries and Stephanie and Frederick Clark hosted a festive evening on East 57th Street in honor of The Fund for Park Avenue. The event celebrated the annual Park Avenue Tree Lighting, a tradition that began in 1945 to honor the men and women who lost their lives in World War II. A portion of the proceeds were donated to The Fund for Park Avenue. Guests previewed the exhibition Iconic Snowscapes, caught up with old friends and enjoyed hors d'oeuvres catered by Swifty's. | The chairmen and committee for Lighthouse International's annual POSH Palm Beach gala and designer clothing sale were recently honored at a tea reception hosted by Nancy Paul at Club Colette on Dec. 17, 2013. The tea was a recognition event in honor of the 2014 POSH Palm Beach Dinner Dance & Sale. Arlene Dahl is the Honorary Chairperson; Chairpersons are Susan Bodnar Malloy, Grace Meigher and Mario Nievera; Junior Chairmen are Elizabeth Meigher and India Paull. The exclusive dinner dance will honor Palm Beachers, Ann Downey and her daughter, Mona de Sayve. The event kicked off the annual POSH Palm Beach Sale on February 20-22 at The Pavilion in West Palm Beach, which features donated designer clothing and accessories from socialites, celebrities, designers and retailers. |

Ackermann, Lighthouse International's CEO, flew down from New York especially for the occasion to extend a deep gratitude for their commitment to POSH, which returns to Palm Beach for its seventh year with a wonderful line up of activities. He also asked supporters to continue to send in clothing and accessory donations for the upcoming sale. The excitement builds with a January 16, 2014 reception at Café Boulud hosted by Bulgari. On February 19, 2014, the annual black-tie dinner dance will take place at Club Colette. Those who attend the gala will be treated to sneak peak of the POSH sale. The POSH Palm Beach sale -- which features clothing and accessories from socialites, celebrities, designers and fashionable retailers -- will take place on February 20 - 22 at Lake Pavilion at 101 South Flagler Drive from 9am to 5pm. The event will include special fashion-related guest appearances, happenings and activities, including a POSH luncheon special offered by Hamburger Heaven. |

| The second annual White Truffle Dinner at Trevini Ristorante was presented as a pre-event to the Palm Beach Wine Auction – a taste of things to come in January 30th at Mar-a-Lago. Featuring an array of impeccable wines from Napa Valley’s very special Antica Family Estates, the sold-out evening at Trevini began in the restaurant’s beautiful courtyard serenaded by musicians Maychol and Lilian, for cocktails and truffle inspired hors d’oeuvres – including truffle infused cheeses and tiny spoons of truffle honey, while they enjoyed the balmiest weather in the country under sparkling twinkle lights. |

The January auction under the direction of Michael Troise, retired Auction Director for NY Wines/Christie's Fine and Rare Wine Department event, will feature a five-course dinner paired with specially selected wines from all over the world. | On December 11th, music legend Quincy Jones was joined by fellow honorees and members of the board of trustees at the Louis Armstrong House Museum's 10th Anniversary Celebration held at the Manhattan Penthouse in Manhattan. Jones was honored, along with Senior Vice Chancellor of the City University of New York Jay Hershenson; Jazz historian and winner of nine Grammy Awards, Dan Morgenstern; and renowned Queens civic leader Grace Lawrence for their dedicated work to preserve and promote the cultural legacy of Louis Armstrong. |

| Over 225 people attended the Jay Heritage Center's (JHC) Zebra Soiree at American Yacht Club. Co-Chaired by Elisabeth and Matt Casey and Keelin and Chris Pye and supported by the JHC Preservationists auxiliary, the high energy party exceeded all expectations — the night raised over $150,000 for educational programs in history and the environment at the landmark Jay Estate in Rye, NY. Funds from the evening, together with monies donated by community partners like Con Edison, will help JHC expand its offerings for children and their families. Plans are already underway to add musical afternoons, civic advocacy activities and gardening workshops to the calendar while also building upon existing sustainable architecture and hands-on archaeology experiences at the 23 acre park where Founding Father and native New Yorker John Jay grew up as a child. |

Guests embraced JHC signature zebra theme and black and white dress code throwing in striped accessories and splashes of hot pink for added flair. Enjoying cocktails, conversation, a delicious buffet and the fabulous Latin band Fiesta NY. happy supporters kept the dance floor packed almost til midnight before spilling out into the light of a full moon. |

| Last month, 200 clients and friends of Janover LLC helped celebrate its 75th Anniversary at The Penn Club in New York City. Janover LLC is a CPA firm founded by Richard Janover in 1938, with offices in Manhattan and Long Island. Today his grandson, Mark Goodman, CPA, is the Managing Partner of the firm. The special guest of the evening was former New York Met and New York Yankee, Darryl Strawberry, who provided autographs for the guests. |
