| This past Monday night, The Drawing Center held its 10th Annual Benefit Auction at Sotheby's. Stacey Goergen, Rhiannon Kubicka, Merrill Mahan, and Candace Worth served as the evening's co-chairs. The evening consisted of a cocktail reception and silent auction of over fifty works by established and emerging artists. An online auction via Paddle8 raised over $350,000 for The Drawing center. |

The Drawing Center is the only not-for-profit fine arts institution in the country to focus solely on the exhibition of drawings, both historical and contemporary. It was established in 1977 to provide opportunities for emerging and under-recognized artists; to demonstrate the significance and diversity of drawings throughout history; and to stimulate public dialogue on issues of art and culture. |

| The Brain Injury Association of New York State celebrated its Sixth Annual Journey of Hope Gala at SLATE located at 54 West 21st Street in New York City on Tuesday, October 8, 2013. The evening featured cocktails, live entertainment and a silent and live auction followed by the awards presentation. The Gala benefited the Brain Injury Association of New York State, the premier support and advocacy organization for New Yorkers with brain injury and their families. Honorary Co-Chairs Penny Marshall and Lorraine Bracco, motivated by their own experiences supporting a friend with a brain injury, have generously committed their time and energy to support the Gala and the Brain Injury Association of New York State (BIANYS). Tom Llamas, Anchor/Reporter, NBC4 New York, served as the Master of Ceremoniesfor the evening. Rosemarie diSalvo and Bradley Von Nostrand were the Gala Co-Chairs. |

| Barry Jordan, M.D., M.P.H., Assistant Medical Director, Burke Rehabilitation Hospital & Medical Director Burke's Brain Injury Rehabilitation received the Champion of Hope Award in recognition of his outstanding dedication to the care of and support for individuals with brain injury and their families. Marie Cavallo, Ph.D., Associate Chief Compliance Officer at AHRC NYC and Past President of the Brain Injury Association of New York State received the Leadership Award. John Quinan, Journalist and TBI - Survivor, and Marion S. Hedges each received the Victory Award. The evening featured music by DJ Spindetta, a performance by Jerry Gretzinger and the chance to take home some great prizes in the silent and live auctions. Guests also had the chance to play against professional pool player Jennifer Barretta. |

| Every 18.5 seconds, another person sustains a brain injury making brain injury a major public health challenge and a silent epidemic that can happen anywhere, anytime and to anyone. Since 1982, the Brain Injury Association of New York State has provided education, advocacy, and community support services that lead to improved quality of life for children and adults with brain injuries and their families. Through outreach, support, advocacy, and education, the Association improves the quality of life for individuals with brain injury and their families. At the same time, because the best cure for brain injury is prevention, the Association educates the public about brain injury prevention. Working with chapters and support groups, volunteer Board of Directors, members, and staff, BIANYS is ready to help solve a problem, make a connection, access a service, or just talk. All of these supports are provided free-of-charge. |

| On October 23rd Pierre Dumonteil and Franck Laverdin hosted a reception for an international crowd at Galerie Dumonteil bringing to New York the interior décor designed by Camille Roche (1894-1948) who was favored by the elite during the 1930s. The exhibition "Splendor on the Riviera" was created for an English aristocratic family's dining room from their villa on the Côte d'Azur, which has been stored and preserved for over 70 years. |

| Camille Roche, laureat in 1920 of the American Foundation award for French Ideas and French Art, was the son of painter Odilon Roche, friend of Rodin and brother of decorator Serge Roche (1898-1988) – a family of important French artists following World War I. His painting style influenced by the Impressionists, is of animals, the countryside and family portraits, but he painted very important frescoes for the apartments and houses of other affluent patrons like Colette, Chanel, and the Rothschilds until his premature death. This is the first time since 1937 at the Wildenstein Gallery in New York, that Camille Roche's work is being exhibited, his atelier having been closed due to the tragic events of World War II for his family. |

On Thursday evening, October 17th, Deeda Blair and Deborah Needleman, Editor in Chief of T: The New York Times Style Magazine, held a book signing and cocktail party at Bergdorf Goodman to celebrate the publication of Howard Slatkin’s Fifth Avenue Style, published by The Vendome Press.
The elegant reception was held on the home floor of Bergdorf Goodman where guests were greeted with hors d’oeuvres and champagne. Famed interior designer Howard Slatkin signed limited collector’s editions of the books for guests while friends mingled admiring the much anticipated Fifth Avenue Style.
